Good news first: unlike many agency-built sites that load dozens of heavy plugins, emmakidd.com has a refreshingly lean 21-kilobyte HTML document and only 4 JavaScript files. At the same time, our diagnostic spotted three small, high-leverage improvements—starting with your 9-character <title>Emma Kidd</title> tag, 6 separate CSS files, and a 511-millisecond initial server wait—that can make your portfolio load faster and rank much more clearly in Google Search and Google Images.
Three Easy Improvements We Spotted on EmmaKidd.com
- 9-Character Homepage
<title>Tag (Emma Kidd): Right now, your homepage title tag is just your name (9 characters), without mentioning your artistic medium, illustration/visual art practice, or studio focus. Expanding that title tag to 50–60 characters helps collectors, curators, and art directors find your work in Google Search. - 511 ms Server Response + Unencrypted HTTP Portfolio Link: The showcase link on L.A. Design Studio's portfolio points to unencrypted
http://www.emmakidd.com/, which costs an extra redirect round-trip on top of a 511 ms server response before HTTPS loads. - 6 Separate Stylesheets on a 21 KB Page: Combining the 6 separate
.cssfiles into a single stylesheet eliminates 5 extra network round-trips before your artwork renders on mobile Safari.
Artist Portfolio SEO Tip: Adding structured Person and VisualArtwork Schema.org JSON-LD markup alongside descriptive alt attributes and a 55-character <title> tag helps your pieces surface directly in Google Images and knowledge panels.
