I Hope its not like commission junction, they stole my earnings away due to low volume rules. Thats why I am going to change everything to the google affiliate network.

Stonfly.com

Setup a prestashop shopping cart for a client of mine. Still working on the design. Got a chance to look at theOutnet.com, and YOOX.com. Yoox is more european traffic base, so I am not surprised that I haven’t heard of it. The boyfriend of the client is in the sunglasses business. So the name StonFly reminds a lot of the sunglasses BlackFlys.

CodeIgniter

Was working on a codeigniter CMS system for a flash game this friday. CodeIgniter is very easy to use. I saw it has a Debugger script, or something of that sort was in the projects files. It was a cool contract gig, but I have other opportunities to review first, before accepting.

Goodbye – Salaried Work – Hello Juicy Contracts

I’m free from the bonds of a certain someone. A manager who demanded that I do unpaid overtime. Never did I agree to such a thing. And there were a lot of other things that were wrong with this company. Still not naming names yet. Anyway, best thing to ever happen to me, the response from potential employers is amazing.

Sunday To Do List

My to do list is about as long as my arm. No wonder every time I think about it, I just end up not doing any of it. Its overwhelming quite frankly. Other than developing the 100+ domains which I own, today I am going to focus on:

  1. Writing up Invoices for previous work done
  2. Getting front page extensions working properly on my windows server.
  3. Putting my word press plugin online, finally.
  4. Test the coupon purchasing system on astoreforbeauty.com
  5. Oh, finally do some email marketing for my self. I got HUGE lists, that are just sitting around getting old.

Grails and Groovy

We had been doing a lot work with SVG, HTML5, Node.js and a lot of other cool technologies which are going to be the core of  all future web browsers.
Its been proving extremely difficult, since they are still all being birthed.
In my opinion, I never start developing in a new open standard until IE adopts it.
But the buzz has been generated, and IE has also proven to be too slow in their development.
So we are working on it regardless of Microsoft’s slowness.
They do have a great demo page though.
http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/

Its definitely worth a look at!

If you have ever looked at my personality profile, which is here online, you can plainly see that my main passion in life
is learning new technologies. So I am excited to say, that I have been charged with the task
of creating an administration system in Grails.
For those who are not familiar with it, Grails is basically Java. This takes me back, with a nostalgic feeling, which lifts me and transports me to the days of academia.
Images fill my mind, of when I sat in a web development class, and learned how to manipulate .JSP files, and write Servlets, and learned of Spring and Hibernate.
I can’t wait to master this new skill set. 🙂

nihontoauction.com

I got nihontoauction.com up and running last week. Still need to do some work on it, change the text, post products. Well its not my personal site anyway. Its a classic ASP project my father asked me purchase. He runs bushiart.com and wants to stop using ebay for auctions. So I set him up on a windows 2003 box, with IIS 6.
